Brisbane born, 21 year old singer songwriter Megan Washington is impressing many top guns in the business with her "uncommonly beautiful voice" and aesthetic sensitivity.

Maestro Paul Grabowsky is just one who's been singing Megan's praises. He first heard her perform when she was still a student at the QLD Conservatorium of Music. "I could tell immediately that she had 'it'," he said, "where she put the notes, her phrasing, her timing, what she could hear. We struck up a rapport and pretty soon she was sending me song lyrics and I was setting them to music."

Rat Vs Possum

Our names are Matt, Daphne, Kieran and Andrew. We're four friends in a band called Rat Vs Possum. We dig floor toms, vocal harmonies, pop music, experimental music, drum samplers, Casio keyboards, loop pedals and promoting healthy food. One time we filled an entire bath with glitter, another time we lined the interior of a Melbourne venue in over 250 meters of bubble wrap, and another time we transformed a venue into a massive 3D rainbow. We started playing at our friends' warehouse parties in the Spring of 2008 and have since been lucky enough to play with Handsome Furs (CAN), Quan, John Steel Singers, Bachelorette (NZ), Ducktails (USA) and heaps of our favourite local bands. We've got our first release coming out in early 2010. Really soon actually. Peace out

Scott Spark

Scott Spark sings about shift-work, awkwardness, strategies for outsmarting death, love and life’s variety of fuck-ups, while plinking the keys of anything that has them.

After growing bearded and pale inside living rooms and studios for the past year or so, Scott is launching the first batch of songs as the Kathleen EP, mixed by Tucker Martine (The Decemberists, Laura Veirs, Death Cab for Cutie, Sufjan Stevens, etc.).
