Hailing from the Gold Coast, Tijuana Cartel has built a firm reputationfor beats that span the globe. Multi-layered grooves, touches of slideand flamenco guitar, trumpet, vocals and Afro-Cuban percussionmixed with some hardened electronica.
TIJUANA CARTEL’s new album is due for release in September andthe band is rehearsing a new set, preparing to ride off into the sunseton a two-month tour. With the sound of their previous two singles –the hypnotic “White Dove” and eminently quirky “Letting It Go” – stillwafting through the airwaves thanks to solid support from triple j andcommunity radio, the new album tracks will supply the soundtrack tothe tour.
