Tyrone Noonan Band

Three members of iconic Brisband george will reunite under the one roof for a special double bill featuring local maestros Taylor and the visiting New York-based Tyrone Noonan Band. Nick Stewart (guitar) and Geoff Green (drums), both of Taylor, performed together with Tyrone (co-lead singer, keys/gtrs) in the ARIA award-winning band george.

Tyrone's uplifting and thoughtful music encapsulates Australian, US and UK sounds, easily combining pop, rock, soul and reggae, and delving into topics both personal and geopolitical. His live shows are world-class, informed by years of performing in London and New York.

Taylor

Sounding like the charming sort of hope that emerges from the dark corner of the room, the resonate storytelling of Taylor delivers a live experience that is both sophisticated in its harmony and uniquely theatrical in performance.

The alluring yet disarmingly haunting sounds of Taylor came about when traveling song writer David Taylor returned home to collaborate with fellow musician and long time friend Nick Stewart. Songs penned in places as far afield as a farmhouse in southern England and the muddy tracks of Vietnam, to Amsterdam and Osaka, were finally recorded in a water tank tucked away in the hills of Northern NSW. The unconventional location proved an ideal melting pot for Engineer/Producer Govinda Doyle (Angus & Julia Stone) to blend the vintage tones, classic narrative and distinct modern pop sensibility of Taylor’s dynamic six piece band.

Hooton and the Apathy

Geoff Hooton is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist who has previously played in bands such as george and The Montgomery Clifts. His music has been described as a mix of Minus the Bear, Ben Folds and The Police. In 2010 he released a solo album entitled 'This Apathy Feels Alright'. In 2011 he began rehearsing a band to play the album live which features Jeff Paton - drums, Mitch Reid - guitars and Tom Green -synths, thus Hooton and the Apathy was born.
