Chase The Sun
These cats kick and grind, barbed-wire sharp all the way into your brain - no quarter asked and none given; Southern-fried rock ‘n’ roll coursing through their veins. Chase The Sun have the chops, and they ain’t afraid to use ‘em. Fronted by incendiary axe-man Jan Rynsaardt and backed by the inimitable rhythm section of Ryan Van Gennip on bass and Jon ‘Howler’ Howell thumping tubs, this is a group that takes root in the blues of the ‘20s, worships at the alter of ‘70s rock, and branches off onto its own powerhouse tangent in the now. With two stellar records under their collective belt thus far, Chase The Sun have proven they’re able to strut in and slash ‘n’ burn with the best of ‘em – and this is only the beginning.
"...just make sure you go and check out their live show, it’ll melt your face." - Samuel J Fell - Rhythms Magazine
Lachy Doley
Lachy Doley is an artist with a huge track record, having trodden the boards in the employ of some enormous names in Australian music, but with the 2011 launch of his first solo outing ‘Typically Individual Conforming Anti-Social’ Doley has proven himself qualified to go it alone.
Lachy Doley has accumulated a large list of sympathisers, mentors and inspiration along the road to the launch of his first solo project. As one half of the famous Doley brothers session keyboard franchise, and after success with Powderfinger, Barnsey, Billy Thorpe, The Hands and many others you might think that launching a solo thing would be a step back and to the left for Doley - given that he could quite happily just jump on the next bus with any number of huge touring artists. It seems though that the lure of sticky carpet, driving huge distances and poor pay proved too strong and Lachy has stepped to the front with his new album 'Typically Individual Conforming Anti-Social'.
Soulful, with a pop sensibility, Lachy’s new project packs the musical punch that those ‘in the know’ have come to expect from one of Australia’s brightest musical talents.
