Gold Coast/ Byron Bay hard-working reggae rockers CC THE CAT are back at the Soundlounge to launch their much-awaited debut album INNA BABYLON JUNGLE. Two years in the making, their genre-mashing reggae/dub/disco/funk voyage explores love, sex and politics in the urban jungle and is a call out to nature, community and the healing power of music.

Recorded in basements, bedrooms and crazy studios from the Gold Coast to Lennox Head, the album features the anthemic songs and soulful vocals of frontwoman CC the Cat, the amazing dub FX (and Jess Buckley/Eddie Vedder voice) of Gold Coast soundMaster Boyd Luadaka, Ozzy Mistress of Bass Tracy Stephens (Marshall and the Fro, Hussy Hicks), the incredible unstoppable Guy Anderton on drums, with heavenly visits by special Julz Parker, Miles Matheson, Katia Demeester and Roberto Roschel.

Having relocated only recently to the Gold Coast after residencies and studies in Northern NSW and 5 years in Melbourne, Chrystal Lynch is making waves on the GC music scene to which she brings an old-school stack of style and class this town has been thirsty for...armed with her 7 piece stellar cast of musicians, 3 and sometimes 4 part vocal harmonies, Chrystal is set to grace the stage of The Soundlounge to launch her 1hr and 17 min no less than epic debut album “Diary of Uma Sereia”

Chrystal is a prolific songwriter and an accomplished vocalist,
guitarist, pianist and an incredible arranger of her own music. 
Inspired by many of the soulful greats, this woman writes music that
harks all the way back to and beyond Motown and will take you on a journey
through decades of soul, groove, jazz and reggae and leave you in the present
with a hope that all that is pure and true of music is not yet lost.
 Fans across Australia await with bated breath to hear the musical love child of this amazing mama and the many masterful musicians from the Gold Coast to Melbourne who have

The Upsteppers

Dancefloor-shaking roots-heavy reggae, potent social commentary, and nuff band members to form their own separatist state. The Upsteppers represent the new signature sound of Brisbane conscious music, and have come to get you moving in positive directions.

The sound is anthemic, compelling roots rhythms and conscious message delivered in big band format; skanking guitars and keys, vintage 3 piece horns, honey-sweet backing vocals, and a workhorse rhythm section.

Their potent live sound has lead The Upsteppers play alongside the world’s leading reggae acts such as Jamaica’s Chaka Demus & Pliers and Jah Mason, New Zealand’s Katchafire and Black Seeds, and Australia’s very own Kingtide and Rastawookie.
